Not bad attempt, I was not too good on my first flight either. Since then I think I have gotten worse, as mine has since taken a swim only recently.

The electrics dried out okay, but the main motor was damaged as a result of hitting the bottom of the creek bed which has big rocks on the bottom, it bent the gear shaft making it inoperable. So I am awaiting a new motor for it!! Apart from that she’s in good condition ready to go again as soon as the motor arrives.
My advise, stay away from creeks, drains, and water in general, unless you fit floats to the skids like some other fellow did.
      Cheers for now: Gary Young

Update on the statistics of my Dragonfly. It has been put out to retirement, the tail rotor burnt out today after the new main motor arrived and a test flight was called for. After this disappointment, I said “No more money is to be spent on this machine”. It will cheaper to buy a complete new machine. The old one will called upon from time to time to harvest parts for the new one. I will keep you all posted as to when the new one arrives.

Hey Computergaz sorry to hear about the tail rotor. I had the same thing happen. My Tail rotor hit the ground on its first try and the plastic chipped to pieces. then it just stopped working all together. So I took off the tail rotor and now it’s a spinning gyrotor without a rear rotor.
